Got up to 80 here today with rising dew point. Not horrible, but hotter than I like. Still no cool weather in sight. They're talking above normal well into October.
That's been our morning temperature for several days until this morning when it wasn't quite that low but thank God we are a long ways from 90! Our highest temperature forecast is 84 and that is for today. 83 tomorrow then much cooler air coming our way after a bit of rain Sunday.
Deer season opens Oct 1. I surely hope it gets much cooler by then. However, it is not uncommon for the first couple days of October to be way too warm. I even remember a couple years with 80 degrees on Oct 1. That is crazy.
Last fall took one out with 9mm.. Wouldn't leave us alone at splitter. Was charging/ annoying me at splitter.. Hey I took him out with hand gun and open fire roasted him
Well, it was a frigid 50-ish last night, so I had a small kindling fire before bed. Just didn't feel right not having a fire before the month ended.
Mid 40's overnight but still no fire in the stove. Rain about to hit us now. Looks like some heavy rain south of us.
Shoulder season has started. Burning Fir, Elm and some Maple. Corn harvest started too - silage piles everywhere.
oc to -2c the last several days with a bit of blowing snow. I decided it was time to start my burning season. The leaves on the trees arent happy but the trees have to go dormant at some point.
