Overnight low 42, burning bark and a little white fir. Summer coming back for a couple of days, then rain and much cooler.

Well hopefully it's a bit closer to normal this winter without the arctic air polar vortex stuff dropping down here. But our weather right now is perfectly fine for this time of year, and temps walking down slowly just like they should.

    49ºF outside this morning earlier.
    67ºF inside
not quite knock-the-chill-out with a fire time yet.
    Getting closer though.
A couple cloudy days with no solar gain on the house from the outside will net some cooler mornings inside for sure.
We have some warmer weather coming up supposedly so probably won't need to get some firewood at the ready for a bit yet.

Third day in a row of exceptional weather, and I'm not burning a thing! Thought we were taking a turn for the worse a few days back, but something changed and bumped us above average, even broke a 115 year record yesterday, temp around 88 F or 30-31 C. There will be time enough for burning at some later date.

Yep, that shift ruins the whole day. Nice fishing trip by the looks of it though.

Clear blue skies and 66 with a little breeze. For me a little on the cool side but felt kinda good with unloading the groceries for this weekend.

79 here right now and the AC is running. Supposed to be hot and humid the rest of the week. 70's next week. Not even thinking about a first fire.

38* here and dropping, not even a thought of a fire yet. I've (she) have got so much processing of the harvest still going on and a project of converting a screen porch into a pantry off of the kitchen. Walls are knocked down and have to be closed in. The cool weather is good and a relief for working in now. I haven't been posting much for a while, due to being so busy, but that will change soon. I have two friends calling me asking me to come over to pick up free wood, and I have no time to do so. I feel like I may have let the club down turning down the wood.:picard::rofl: :rofl:  No worries, I'll get it soon enough though.

34° here at 5 o’clock this morning. 59° in the house upstairs. Slept so hard with the bedroom window open all night. The dogs were curled up hard in their beds. Basement and garage were 65/66°. I couldn’t resist lighting the stove with some hemlock kindling and two year old ash. Tossed a piece of poplar in there, too. Cut that tree down 4 years ago now. Popping like crazy. First burn of the season. Last year first burn was a little earlier in September on the 7th.

49AB2D92-3181-4478-BE6D-93B3A449CEB2.jpeg Coldest morning yet. No fire tho, it’s supposed to get up into the 80’s next couple days.

36° in Nashua NH this AM, burning natural gas, the radiators are ticking. We've got the doors off the stove to replace the gaskets, so a fire isn't an option right now. I'm itching to throw some wood in, though. 84° forecasted for Sunday, so I think a frost is pretty far off.
Still, can't be sure of anything with 50° temperature swings.

52 again this morning. I think we're stuck in a pattern but it is supposed to get worse before getting better next week. We'll suffer through it but hopefully no air conditioning needed. It's been a long time since we've had the air on but not long enough yet.
