We had 98 here yesterday, should have been in the pool but I took my bride to Amish country for a meal and to see Nichole Nordeman in concert then for ice cream . Supposed to be in the 90's again today, it's already 86.
Normal weather thing happened once again yesterday. Big storm moved out of Wisconsin and many areas of MI got hit. HOwever, as it got close to us, it broke up a lot. We got a whole .2" of rain. One gust of wind and it was all over. Did cool things off nicely though. Talked to a friend east of us and he got 1 1/2" of rain. Storms break up before they hit us then rebuild to our east.
That sounds like what storms do here. They get close to La Crosse and split with some going south and some going north. This past Friday and Saturday they didn't split
At 12:30 pm today the temperature finally climbed to 70 degrees. Fantastic!!!!! Needless to say, our air conditioner went off yesterday and we hope it can stay off the rest of the summer. I've had enough summer to last me well this year. Ready for fall any time.
As long as fall stays north in Michigan it can arrive .....I'll be happy to have some more summer, thank you very much.
I don't mind the heat. I enjoy it all Winter long when I'm in the house. Plus, the ladies dress very lightly and in most cases I'm surrounded by wonderful examples of human form so what's not to like.
Better now 79.. Past weekend got in 90s for 2 days. Definition of a heat wave here is 3 days of 90+ degrees. We haven't had one yet.. I know you southerners are laughing at us yankees But 2 days of 90 is hot for us!!!
