We've had 3 straight days of sunny weather, lower than average temps and low humidity
Unbelievable considering the last 7-8 months have been nothing but rain/clouds.
No backup heat in this house and it's chilly this morning . Would love to start a fire in the boiler to take the chill off. Will just get moving too keep warm.

They say the rain will hold off until tonight and tomorrow. So one more nice day here. Seems really strange but very nice.

We have been getting rain since about 8 this morning and looking at the radar we should be almost done with it for awhile. More coming tomorrow if not sooner.

I've got about 4 1/2" since Friday the 14TH. That's after 2 months of drought.

gorgeous Summer day today. Highs in the low 80's with a touch of humidity. Cut and split in the sun for a bit this afternoon.
Bark, pallet scraps, and hardwood pieces in the firepit. Burgers on the menu tonight. Calm evening on the deck, tree frogs chirping in the woods. Just saw a firefly too! Ah, the sights and sounds of Summer! Low 70's now. IMG_0560.JPG IMG_0561.JPG

Feeling better now. I got really run down after such a big trip then straight back to work the day after we got back home. Had/have lots to catch up on that was neglected while I was in the US, It all culminated in me getting really sick 12 day’s ago and had to take more time of from work

Feeling good today, got the grass mowed this afternoon, well hacked down may be a better description as it was long and wet.

Glad you are feeling better. Have to take it one day at a time. Shouldn't be long, with winter coming on the the grass mowing will be done. Tell your dad hi from us in Georgia.

80 here and looking like it should rain but radar shows most of it missing us. But, those things tend to grow in size the later it gets. Really super humid for sure.

At 95 degrees, I would definitely let the wood sit until cooler weather. I recall when I was a young lad working in the woods in those temperatures. It was not fun for sure and we did tend to works some short days then. Imagine lugging those saws around back in the 50's; they were not as light as today's saws.

Sorry to hear you were sick but glad to hear your on the mend.
Chaz and I can relate to having a hayfield to take down. We finally got the whole yard taken down last weekend. He was using the bush hog and I was on the rider

Yeah i skipped yardwork too :D, starting next week monday its gonna be 10 days straight workin on the farm in the afternoon. I hope its more like lower 80s then.
Got a few Dolmar-Sachs saws and they are quite heavy which helps my igamination a little what saws must have been like in the 50's. :bug:
