We ended up getting 2". Had to go to the big city again today and the flooding between here and there is amazing. There will be lots of crops lost and will hold back from any more planting for many days. In the mile where my father-in-law had his farm, there are 4 other farms and not one field has even been worked.
Someone check the calendar, please. Yup, it is June 13th. Frost on the roofs and 35 when I rolled out at 6:00!
The last few mornings it has been around 60f here in morning. I'm thinking tomorrow it may be in the 50s in the morning here. Our high yesterday didn't get above about 64f. Keep in mind 2 weeks or so it was 100f as a high.
Got down to 39 last nite might have had a frost in mountains.. Currently 57 with a breeze. Burning oil.. Gas and diesel in equipment
It was down into the 40's this morning with temps going up to the low 70's. We got 1.1 inches of rain in the previous 24 hours.
What do you call a wood hoarder that works in the rain?...a damp fool! Sorry T. Jeff didnt see you response. Old dumb joke of mine...ive got a lot of those!
For AC you just leave the door open on the stove mimicking a fireplace. The fire will suck all the heat right out of the room turning the room into a refrigerator due to the "net loss". I read that on the internet.
54 and raining pretty good here. Just went home for lunch and cranked up the wood stove. Other wise I might be asked to turn the thermostat on for the night. That aint happening.
HUH! Just looked at my stove pic again and the bottom right brick is broken and checked it out.Sure enough. Will deal with it later.
