I was also thinking that! But, it sure is nice to head out at 4:30/5:00 with the morning light now.

Another thing to think about is that by rights, if the real time wasn't screwed around with, it would be 3:30/4:00 with that amount of light!!!

Was a nice day yesterday. A bit cool in the morning but after noon it warmed into the 50's. Looks to be about the same today except it's been in the 50's already and should get near 60.

Got to mid-50's here today and was sunny earlier, so I went out and moved some firewood into the shed. Got a bit cloudy and I guess we're due for some rain late tonight.
47 right now heading to 41.
Had a 5 split fire with Ash last night and another smaller one this morning.

42f with wind blown rain all day with gusts up to 39mph this afternoon. Snow overnight :headbang: with low around 35f. There is a winter storm warning in place at our cabin up past Grand Marais, MN. Just burning natural gas tonight. Hoping for low 70s next week.

Lit the stove again last night and used up the little amount of wood I had in the basement. Just haul some more in, maybe a day and a half‘s worth. Some of it is pretty wet because it’s been raining steady for the last two days and my tarps didn’t do a very good job . Mostly dry elm though. 42* with rain & wind. Freeze watch Issued for tonight so now I have to go bring in and cover plants flowers. Supposed to get down to 30 tomorrow night. I thought I was going to be a couple months ahead going into this winter but not if this crap don’t straighten out pretty soon! :headbang:I am ready for real spring

Morning everyone, 32* here with a light frost. Sun is already up and should get to 60*, no heat being used. Pulled the seedlings indoors last night as a caution, glad we did.

This is when we start using the oak boards from the sawmill. Quick hot fires to keep the water temp up with little to no smoke. Will be using this the remainder of the summer, building a fire about every other or every third day in the early am. If the kids are coming over, she is going to run the washer and dishwasher I will build a bigger fire for longer burns as the hot water heater will call for heat every now and again through those days.

Ah gobblers. To tease you, Judy and I had to go to the big city this morning. About a dozen turkeys in the one field as you go out to the highway.

No fire today. Got up to 70. About 1" rain overnight. Cloudy almost all day but temperature shot up to 70 for a brief time when the sun came out. Still no buds at all on the lilacs.
