Sunny for the morning and clouded up this afternoon. Temps struggled to hit 50. I was happy with the warm temps and cloudy skies, but I know 50 is just a touch on the cool side for some of you lilac sprouting grass cutting southerners...… such as Eric VW and Fire Flake !!! :p

Quite a bit of rain today, snow tonight- lows around 30°F. Built a small fire for the overnight hours. Back into the low 40s tomorrow.

Made it to 52 here today, melted all the snow with the sun. 35 now, rain coming they say. Elm rounds in the boiler.

We are a bit below freezing with heavy snow squalls through the last few days. They are kind of neat. Blizzard like conditions and then 1o minutes later the sun comes out and the weather gets calm. Weve been waking up to an inch or so of snow the last couple of days but it melts by lunch time. The last of the winter snow is almost gone from my yard. It will still be a spell yet before I can get into many places for firewood as we have quite the elevation gain in a tight vicinity. Evening burning with the odd day of subdued full day burning is what weve been doing for awhile now. Spruce and lodgepole pine in the stove with -4c/25f outside right now. Thinking of planting radishes and peas in our south facing garden up against the house soon.

Nothing too exciting here, overnight fire plan with spruce is continuing. Snow squalls here and there, fun for the morning commute surprise of what’s around the next curve. We still have just a little snow on the north facing slopes but the rain this morning took care of a lot of it. Methinks this will be the last of it this season, or at least I hope so.

36 and 76, bright and sunny and headed for the 50’s and the only really nice day of the week. I just put a few bricks and a couple uglies in to keep the chill out. It’s gotta warm up soon, we only have enough wood and bricks for a couple weeks or so.

We had 29 * here this AM with a frost, the sun is up and bright. No fire, just a 15 minute bump from the furnace. I haven't burned for a week or so, and barring some cold wave, I think I'm done for the season. I've got me some processing to do, I just need time off from work.:headbang:

67 here. Looking like it's time to work on finding out how to take the blower off the tractor and put the deck on. I think stove is done for the year so need to work on cleaning and ordering replacement parts for it.

Me as well, I'm badly in need of a re-gasketing job.
