Mother nature put it there, she can take it away. We have lots of small branches down all over the lawn and driveway. I thought it was supposed to be spring.

Was cold windy & raining this morning. About an inch of snow. Warmed up to 50 with a 20-25MPH East wind blowing. Sun for a bit & now thunderstorms predicted overnight with strong W SW winds tomorrow. Got a tree trimming job in the morning, that should be fun. Oak in the boiler.

No fire. I don't know how high we reached today, but it is still *71 at 8:30 pm.

Snow turned into sleet then rain but only briefly. Wind is still kicking up, but snowfall has backed off quite a bit.

34 and 77, headed for 50 again today without the sun then 50’s and maybe some 60’s this weekend before the big storm hits on Monday. Supposed to be rain this time and I hope they’re right. Spring is slowly working it’s way in. Most of the snow we got recently is almost gone but still quite a bit in shady areas.

26* with 15-25mph winds. Finally quit snowing around 7:00pm last night. Probably got 12”, hard to tell because it is all drifted. Not looking forward to moving snow in an open cab skid steer this morning. Elm in the stove

28 now but it is a cold 28 as it feels like low teens! Ended up getting a light drizzle as I went for gas; which, BTW, is 2.95 a gallon now. :headbang:

34F this AM. Our winds were recorded up to 59 mph yesterday. Todays winds are to be in the 30 mph range. Its been Cold. Wet. And miserable.
On a brighter note. Its looking like mid 50's by Monday!
Gas went up 17 cents here yesterday. Glad I don't burn much anymore. Time to get out the scooter:cool:

Forecasters really blowing it again. Thankfully they missed it on the wind. Was predicted to be somewhere around 35 mph yesterday but was only in the 20-25 mph range.

Last night it was predicted to be a low of 45 then raising into the mid 50's during the night. It got down to 40, then raised to 45, then back to 40. Now they say low 60's for today. We'll see...

My wife and I are relaxing with a nice big blaze in the old hearth...black ash and poplar mix. If feels so good. We are still cold here. It snowed lightly almost all day. We ended up with almost 10" total from the storm. The wind is down to 18mph with gusts up to almost 30 during the day. Upper 30s, maybe 40 and cloudy tomorrow. Mid 40s Sunday. I have a 30" pike and 19" large mouth bass thawing for the smoker Sunday.

Well, I'm a little re-faced! Turns out the noise I heard was nothing more than a trans Canada company blowing out their lines.

Man, was that ever loud! I kinda wonder how much energy was wasted??

Yesterday was disappointing with no sun and barely in the 40’s. Raining this morning and 40, 78 inside on coals. They’re predicting 70 this afternoon but I’m not holding my breath.

I'm holding my breath! Come on 70's! The grass is greening up, and I over seeded the front lawn with white clover. I want it to sprout before I put down the pre-emergent stuff. No fire today, but I had one yesterday. The cat is going to be bummed.
