Don't put that shovel away. Or would it be rain out by you in March?

5 out, 75 in. It’s been freaking cold and there are 2 more storms in the pipeline as Midwinter mentioned so I think that groundhog must have been stoned lol. With another cold snap behind the storms I don’t think spring is coming anytime soon. We got down to less than a cord so I bought a pallet of Lewis Bricks yesterday to stretch it out through the end of the season. They’re putting out some great heat!

It's warmer in my house than in yours! And we are still in winter.

Only got down to around 10 last night. 30 now. Might get a slight thaw before this afternoon is done.

Another bluebird day, hopefully it will warm up like all week has. It’s -17 and 74 in the house all thanks to spruce. Breaking the splitter out later get get the birch split.

Funny thing is I can fall asleep in front of the fire in winter no problem at all but in summer when it’s been hot all day I just cannot sleep until it cools down!

It’s a different heat to after 3 hot days the thermal mass of brick walls, the house can feel like an oven.

It’s better now the cooler has been running for 9 hours pushing cool air trough the house. It’s still 69F outside at 5:12am, the sun rises in 2 hours and it will be baking again.

image.jpg image.jpg Cabin fever in full swing here, officially annoyed by never ending no let up winter. Sure we've had some warmer days but not enough to shake off the forever winter feeling.

I have a big Honeywell evaporative air cooler. It works really well when the humidity isn’t too high. But I was at work for 13 hours yesterday and the house was closed up the whole time when I got home and walked in the back door it really wasn’t pleasant at all. It takes a while to bring the thermal mass of a brick building down to a comfortable temperature after several hot days.

Light snow started about 2 hours ago.

    Still above zero, that's nice.
