11f heading to a balmy high of 16f today. Next week showing single digits for the highs and below 0 for the lows. Getting very tired of this crap, even though we don't have it as bad as many here.
Hey at lunch time we finally hit 0 degrees... Its almost March.. Burning junk pine.. Edit: not that all pine is junk.. But this batch of what I have is spalted.
A slice of nice, although the wind is going to ramp up to 30 mph. Yesterday was almost nice, but again the wind was high.
39°F and the wind has finally calmed down. Monday night was the worst with 85 MPH winds it doesn't blow in Nevada it sucks!
Having light snow ever since I got up. Will probably end up with a couple of inches by the time it is done they are saying 5". Holding at 20*.
It was -24c/-11f when I went to bed but was -21c/-6f when I got up and now its at -18c/0f. Glad to see its headed in the right direction! Doug fir in the box.
3" snow overnight. Light and fluffy so did not take long to shove it around. The amazing thing is that I had to go somewhere this morning around 8:00. The snow was almost done but we were also getting some freezing drizzle! Not so odd until you realize the temperature was 15 degrees. Usually if we get freezing drizzle the temperature is at least in the high 20's. Glad I did not have to drive far.
15 here now with no wind, It's the warmest it's been for a few days. The last few mornings have been single digits with 35 to 40 mph winds, just miserable. We didn't burn through the worst of it due to the likely hood of frequent down drafts. We resumed the main source of heat last night and have been burning really hard Maple and Elm since. 1 to 3 inches coming tonight.
16* real feel of 1*. Crap ice roads this morning. Now it's all good. 71* inside. Locust doing the work.
Got up to 8 f here today, up to 18 tomorrow, still way below normal with no end in sight! Burning Ash and Maple fast and hot!
Got up to 24F today with a couple inches of snow. Light & fluffy, winds were pretty calm all day so it was nice. 22 now with light snow. Boiler loaded with Oak & Locust. Spring is nowhere to be seen, nor the sun sadly.
Today warmed up nicely brought a load of birch home, here is the pile from this stretch of days. Will split on Friday.
It must be nice that the days are getting longer for you Rope so you can get out there and do some cutting and hauling your wood back home.
