23f and just threw a couple small elm rounds in.

Hemlock pine and white oak.

 

Right about 18º this morning. Ash and Pine chunks and cut-offs burning away in the boiler.

 

32 and an wintry mix coming down. Some oak cooking in the stove.

 

10f and topped the T5 with some elm. Calling for rain today and tomorrow.
Might have to work in the house.

 

14º on the back porch right now. Large splits of Ash burning in the boiler. Boiler and tank currently at 185º.

 

This is my first year with a woodstove. All shoulder season I have been burning red maple and cherry. Last night it was 23 outside, a nice crisp coating of frost on the lawn, and I just had that cold weather vibe going so I decided to try my first full load of 17% white ash. Woooo baby I'm loving that white ash. Stove cruised noticeably longer and hotter. If white ash is this good I can't even imagine what my hickory, black birch, and white oak will be like.

 

Bout 35 out...just loaded the stove fer da wifey b4 i had to go back to work...i believe it was 73 ish

 

It's a damp 38 degrees here today, with a day long soaker setting in. About 1/2 of last night's load was still in the stove this morning at 6:30.

 

Hey luke has your stove been burnin longer and cleaner since your baffle install?

 

I think so, but it isn't day and night difference. I cleaned the chimney the week before Thanksgiving and it seemed better. Burn times are better, but so is my wood supply and it hasn't really been all that cold yet. All-in-all, I like it and I'm glad I did it.

 

Well 22 hrs aint to shabby

 

Got to throw a lot of wood at it though. But I got a lot, so it's all good.

 

34 and Burnin' 2-3 year seasoned,,,, wet maple in the little Englander,,,,,,,,,,,,,, and pistoff about it!
Chimney for big gun still ain't done !!!!!!Got plenty of dry under cover wood for the furnace ,,, just cant run it !!!!
Giving them till next Saturday and they can shove it. 2 years is long enough to wait !

 

Well it's back to burning chuglies here with it hardly getting down into the low 20's at night. Luckily splitting elm produces plenty of them!!

 

Mid 30's with some very cold rain. Mix of ash and some maple has me ready to open a window..lol..

 

Mid 30's here as well. Mostly ash, was 75 in here a little while ago. Too dang hot, I am letting her burn down a little bit.
