Weather guy just passed judgment on our souls. Cold front blowing in tonight with expected gusts up to 60 mph and air temp going down to -10° bringing the wind chill to roughly -45°, whiteout conditions through Friday :shiver:. Warm up to +5° this Saturday and then dropping Sunday and by next Tuesday air temps down to -26° :coldfire:.

Goofy weather over the next 24 hours. Current temp 23°F with sleet & freezing rain, temps rising to 48°F by morning with 1"-2" of rain tomorrow, temps dropping back down to 35°F during the day, transitioning to snow and a low of 18°F tomorrow night.

After this past snow we recieved, we'll likely see some flooding along with the ice on the river giving way. Fun fun

Up to 48 today, rain all day, felt like spring. February showers bring March flowers. Back to winter and then some starting tomorrow. We have wood, we will survive.

That's quite a contrast between leoht and saskwoodburner :jaw:

36*out 72* in. It's raining again. I think they're calling for about an inch:hair: Potential for ice overnight/tomorrow morning. Schools are on a 2 hr delay already.

3/4 load of ash for the overnight.

    -11°F / -24° C. Wind's gone down some to 14 mph / 22 kph.
Felling and burning DED Elm. Tops are dry, bottom 10 feet is too damp, good for next year.
    200 miles south of saskwoodburner.

Lots of cold weather for folks on FHC. El Nino doing its thing here in the BC Rockies keeping us mild after two years of cold winters. -9c/16f right now... feeling nice and warm. Sitting in front of the stove loaded with larch. One of the nice things about El Nino winters aside from mild temps out west is there is less shoveling to do. We have had snow on the ground for months but we havent had to many storms roll through this year to make it much work.
