Weather guy just passed judgment on our souls. Cold front blowing in tonight with expected gusts up to 60 mph and air temp going down to -10° bringing the wind chill to roughly -45°, whiteout conditions through Friday . Warm up to +5° this Saturday and then dropping Sunday and by next Tuesday air temps down to -26° .
Midwinter, glad hubs is ok! 30s and warming here.. Weird january. Lots of rain in the forecast, then a freeze. Should be fun! Red and sugar maple doing the deed.
20* with a real feel of 10* 72* ist Black Locust and a random piece of oak. Got another 6" today. The real cold starts in the next few days.
Goofy weather over the next 24 hours. Current temp 23°F with sleet & freezing rain, temps rising to 48°F by morning with 1"-2" of rain tomorrow, temps dropping back down to 35°F during the day, transitioning to snow and a low of 18°F tomorrow night. After this past snow we recieved, we'll likely see some flooding along with the ice on the river giving way. Fun fun
Rain all day today. Snow for one hour (flurries) in the 20's tonight. Who said you could not have all four seasons in one day !
Up to 48 today, rain all day, felt like spring. February showers bring March flowers. Back to winter and then some starting tomorrow. We have wood, we will survive.
No stove required down here today! Yep it’s warm. And getting warmer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That's quite a contrast between leoht and saskwoodburner 36*out 72* in. It's raining again. I think they're calling for about an inch Potential for ice overnight/tomorrow morning. Schools are on a 2 hr delay already. 3/4 load of ash for the overnight.
-11°F / -24° C. Wind's gone down some to 14 mph / 22 kph. Felling and burning DED Elm. Tops are dry, bottom 10 feet is too damp, good for next year. 200 miles south of saskwoodburner.
16.2f burning slabs . Looks like Minnesota going cool a bit in the near future 30-31st. Sent from my LGL84VL using Tapatalk
Just had a look out the window and says 5c=41f with drizzle happening. Supposed to get cold again in a couple days.
Lots of cold weather for folks on FHC. El Nino doing its thing here in the BC Rockies keeping us mild after two years of cold winters. -9c/16f right now... feeling nice and warm. Sitting in front of the stove loaded with larch. One of the nice things about El Nino winters aside from mild temps out west is there is less shoveling to do. We have had snow on the ground for months but we havent had to many storms roll through this year to make it much work.
Ya Sean it shot up just today so everything is a slushy mess and will be fun when it starts dropping back down tomorrow.
Hey Aussie how much is your electric bill down under ? 16 f burning slabs .. that's solar panel country down there Sent from my LGL84VL using Tapatalk
