There was an influx of snowmobiles this past week/weekend but by no means is it ready for good riding.

Rain and sleet here, hovering right around 30, but the ground is cold enough to make ice. Smoker is braving the elements to make delicious new years eve snacks, and it's 77 downstairs.. Soft and hard maple doing the deed.

    Happy New Year!

Current temp 30°F and hanging around that temp overnight with snow on the way. Up to 6" possible, maybe a transition to sleet during the am. Also an avalanche watch

39 OAT and light rain but the storm is almost over here. We have 4” of wet compacted snow to clean up and the wind is picking up. There’s already over 20k outages and it’s getting stronger. Great time to have a wood stove! It’s supposed to get close to 50 very briefly, then plunge into the teens tonight so we’ll be iced up pretty good by tomorrow.
    Happy New Year FHC!

Sounds like you have a brief window to clean up before the deep freeze. 4 inches of slop, yuck. We got about an inch of snow that was forecast to be rain, but 50° should take care of that. Burning red maple for today, but will switch to red oak tonight and tomorrow.

16F with a light shot of snow overnight. Barely measurable. Damp and cold. Brrrr. I must be getting old. Back to the couch with some coffee! Happy new year to all.

14 on the back deck this morning w/ 12" of new, fluffy snow overnight. As usual, ponderosa pine and the Endeavor keeping us warm. The first day of the new year will be spent pushing snow around.

Warmup overnight with the morning high of 36°F starting to melt the 3" we got overnight. Temps will fall from here to 0° tonight. Crazy winter thus far! November we had nearly 40" and December maybe a foot total, but every weekend and holiday it's warmed up, rained a bit, then froze solid. Wood stove not getting loaded until later.

It’s about 28 here and I have Ash and Maple in the boiler. Pine up next. Only received rain here last night.

Happy New Year to everyone at FHC. I wish the best year yet for all of you.

40 outside here, down from 50 an hour ago. Supposed to hang in the upper 30's today. Have not checked on the stove other than looking over when I had the pooch in and out. Still see some coals from last night's ash and locust load. Watched the ball drop in N.Y. and an hour later in New Orleans. Happy, Happy New Year
