And that wind is a sustained wind, I guess? No thanks! I'm content with just driving through your area! Stay warm!

Anymore is the key word, that means she did it in the past. That's the important thing, keeping you well fed ain't a bad thing. Enjoy your anniversary!

Thanks Tom. The years really flew by. It went from just the two of us to having 2 boys and then 2 DIL's and 5 grandkids.

21 and snowing. We tried to go to Colorado Thursday but the highway was closed up north. Can't get to Albuquerque to the West because of the snow. Elm and oak burning at the shop.

50 here, no fire for 5 or 6 days in the shop and a day or so in the house. Fired up the shop stove this morning with sugar and hickory as I finally feel like doing a little puttering. I'll fire up the house stove this evening when we get home from a family gtg.

We're sort of in the same boat here except my wife has never been a good wood stacker. Years ago I simply told her that I do not want help stacking wood. Please! Let me do it. And she now does.

And congratulations to you and your wife.

Warmer than last night that's for sure. Sitting at -18 C feels -24 C or 0 F feels -11 F. Slept too long so it was wood stove/oil furnace kind of morning but I wanted to run it anyways. Looks like a couple moderate days, a couple cold, and then 5 nice ones on the way.

Amazing. The temperature rose overnight. Sitting now at 54 degrees! Needless to say, our snow is gone. Might get more by New Year's day but maybe we'll just let yooperdave have all of that snow.

Hey, while typing, the sun just came out....then quickly disappeared.

Was 38 when I got up and now it's 42. Raining earlier but just seeing light fog now. By the radar you guys in NE are getting hammered. Looks like it is snow, then ice, then rain. Stay safe.

I took some time off. Told the wife we should go for our walk while it is warm and before it gets too windy. While on the walk the wind did come up and I told her that was the cold front. We were gone a half hour or a little more and the temperature dropped 5 degrees in that time. I'd say for sure the cold front has arrived.

Backwoods Savage I think my wife had a good influence on me when it comes to stacking. I seem to do a better job now than in the past.
Thanks for your well wishes. I think she will keep me:thumbs:

53* here now. Sun is out between the clouds. Just enough to entice you out to do some work. I believe that I will go out and give it a try. Probably bring the rain.
I just don't see the cool down that many here and my wife is mentioning. Next 7 days lows 30 highs 40. One day we go down to low 20s and high low 30s. That is what my weather guesser says.
