    28 here this morning, burning down a big bed of ash coals. Slim chance of a white Christmas, big full moon when I took the dog out at 6, hope it shines bright for the reindeer, give Rudolph a little help.

    29 feels like 18 this morning, far cry from yesterday! It’s still 77 in here though.:thumbs: We lost all but the snow banks along the roadside and a few patches here and there. No flooding to speak of locally thankfully. Maybe we’ll get a dusting tomorrow but I’m not sure it’ll be enough for a white Christmas. We’re doing our family Christmas today at my daughters place later this morning and that’s the one that counts anyway for us. Still burning coals but I’ll load up with KD hardwood for the day around 8 probably. Be careful if you’re traveling and have a wonderful day all!

    The cold never rolled in last night, keeping us around -10 C feels -15 C or 15 F feels 5 F for the night, and probably most? of today. Fingers crossed that some dirty cold system doesn't roll in. Poplar in the reactor same as always.

    We've had 2 nights in a row with steady temperature. Stayed around 30 all night. Still some snow left out there but not much. Would be some rough sledding for sure.

    Gasification on a grand scale . Yes I can make a 54x28x40 inch firebox . Roll with gasification. Dry oak slabs at 15% draft set way back . Water temp rockets to temp . My temp gauge is more like a tach on a foreign car. 25f out

    23 feels like 17 this morning. 75 inside still burning coals. Might see a few flurries today but otherwise a quiet week coming up with lows in the single digits and highs in the 20’s. Great wood cutting weather!
