Man let me tell you mom can cook. That electric pressure cooker is nice too. That moose was so good I ate 4 biscuits to keep it company. I about split open I ate so much.

I wish you luck on getting a moose. Sure is worth the work.

19 right now which is 4 degrees north of our high for today. Going to be a long winter if this keeps up. Napoleon chewing on some apple and 17% white oak. Furnace will definitely kick on before I get up though. No biggie, natural gas is still fairly cheap.

18ºF this morning. Fairly steady wind 15-20 MPH.
Brought in an armload of 4 year aged oak for overnight last night. Got pine in there right now. Will be maple in an hour or so. Will be red oak this afternoon and tonight.
Had brief blast of a snow squall around 6:30PM last night that didn't last very long but the wind kept up behind it along with much colder air.

It’s 7 OAT right now with strong winds and chill factors in the -teens. Below zero chill factor all day today. They’re saying we’re the coldest spot on the planet today here in northern New England. I loaded the Fireview with one Envi block and the rest KD oak and cherry at 9 and it was still 76 in here, 67 upstairs at 5:30 am with a STT of 425ish and 1/4 firebox of coals. I stirred the coals and added some pine splits and she’s back over 500.
I was sure I’d have to get up and turn on the heat pump early this morning but no need. Did I say how much we LOVE our Fireview?
Well Seasoned and Canadian border VT I just heard the plow go by. We’ve been getting the snow squalls since yesterday afternoon but not as bad as you guys. Sounds like I might need to dig the Kubota out again this morning. Darn!
Happy Thanksgiving FHC family! Keep warm!

Don't have a fire going at all. Drank barley pop and threw darts down at the tavern till 11 pm. Came home and went to bed. Now it's kinda cold in here, buy hey it's like 45F outside so I'm just gonna skip the fire and go back to bed.

Happy Thanksgiving to you as well! We had -5° last night, wind chill was probably close to -20° House dropped to 64°F overnight- fire going again (&oven:stirpot:).

Gave some oatmeal to the chickens this morning- they were moving a little slower this morning.
