We had about 3 inches of snow Sunday, then somebody cleaned up under the old apple tree yesterday. Coyote 1 finding apples.JPG Coyote 2 eating apple.JPG

It got down to 63F in the house yesterday. Fired off the boiler to make sure the heat zones were working. Need to get some shoulder wood ready! Today, supposed to be almost 80 and humid again.

Woke up to a semi clear day (surprise) and a very wet yard due to rain/dew point temps. The sun is a gift and welcomed since we weren't supposed to see any until Sunday.
Actual temps were right at 40f.

Got the boiler lit up this a m. Was about 50F, so not cold by any stretch, but everything works well! Stats all hold temp & exchangers working as expected. Burning pine & looking good!

I just saw on the news where NH consumes more alcohol per person than any other state by quite a bit. Over 4 gallons a year, Maine is just under 3. How do you suppose they track that? Sales most likely which means the numbers for all states surrounding NH are way too low.

Ran the A/C yesterday and the last 2 nights after needing the stove the 2 mornings previous to that. It must be fall. I pray that yesterday was our last day this year with over 70 dew point. I’m sick of the icky sticky weather. Looks like Monday morning might be the next chance for a fire. Good weather for getting ready in between

Pretty sure we're done with the higher temps and humidity. Tis the season.
I have another small kindling fire going to warm the house back up from the 63 it's at right now.
Cup of coffee, the dogs and I hangin' out, view of the fire, beautiful blue skies..............life is good.

Sitting at 1 C or 35 F currently, I think any hope of nicer weather happening before winter is gone. Might have to hit early whitetail muzzle loader season this year, as it's cool enough to hang a deer.

They go by sales so if a lot of out-of-state sales, it reflects in the total.

We're not as cool as the Yooper but had 41 this morning. Sweet!

I looked at the records and a year ago today we had our last 90 degree day. It was the 6th day in a row of over 90. Geeze..... But on October 1 it was in the 30's for opening day of archery season last year. So far, the forecast is for showers and 58 for the high.

Well, I can certainly attest to the fact that it does get cold up there.
