    Me too. Never tried the lighter trick, but never had the wot pull "like your hair's on fire" fail:hair: Recently had to do that with the 7910 at the Penn GTG because I wasn't used to starting it in 90°+ weather! Worked like a charm.:cool:

    That is so spooky. It is like I was able to watch myself when I flooded my saw the other day, except I wasn't explaining why I couldn't get it started. You stayed much more calm than I did, probably due to the fact that you knew what was happening and was making an instructional video. Nobody would want to watch the video that would have been made that day! :headbang::mad:

    My 6100 on days above 80 you don't even need to choke it. I found this out accidentally by just pulling it a few weeks ago and the darn thing started right up. Gotta make sure to push the switch to the lock off position or my 3 year old will have it started one of these days

    "wot trick" works on most carb engines even on some efi holding the pedal to the floor disables injectors while.cranking.

    I use the lighter or propane map torch on 4 strokes with a pull rope or multiple cylinders.

    85 out today, Started my 6421 cold today, choke on one pull , choke off, one pull, started right up,, I learned from your mistakes hehe :)
