Yeah, the Mill was up against the wall with the TV, but with company coming over for New Years, I had to rearrange.

So the firewood corner it was :)

Yeah, I kind of figured that, but still seems odd to black out a playoff game. The mighty dollar at work.

You're still young. I bet you don't say that in 25 years.

Would be a good promotion for a local station to do something like that. I know where my arse would be. Lets just say in a warm place

That isn't the only place faced with the same issue. Prices are out reaching the average available amount of disposable funds. I know it is fun to be there, but it is also fun to have some friends over, order pizza and have your favorite beverage. No one sits behind or in front and annoys the he!! Out of you, and it is not to far when you need facilities. I don't ever go to the games unless it is local school teams. Usually it then is because I have a grand kid playing.

This is actually a big problem facing the major sports......I will take sitting at home with my big tv, outrageous amounts of food, beverage and bathroom access.

Havnt been to a pro game in many years. I grew up going to Red Sox and Bruins games regularly, several a year.
I will go to a minor league game now and then, Monarchs, Fisher Cats, Sea Dogs etc

Sea Dogs are a nice outing. Cozy ballpark right on top of the action. Reasonable prices, all in all a nice day. or night out.

Took my girls to Old Timer's day at Yankee Stadium last year....$300 just for the tickets  and we were on the 3rd deck up from the field! Won't be doing that again anytime soon.

Locally, I can go to the Hudson Valley Renegades games. Premium box seats right on the field are *GASP* $15 each :) And those kids play their guts out. Lots of promotions, fireworks, etc, etc. Can't beat it for a family.

The high Sunday is supposed to be -6 with falling temps by showtime… late game so it's gonna be even colder. The last time they didn't sell out a game was during the strike year of 1982.

-25 or so Monday night. It's-7F right now...

Sea Dogs games are fun. A lot of stuff in between innings for the kids. My son loves it.

Good call staying home :) Looks like the RI highway department mailed it in last night....my exit wasn't plowed at all....almost missed it with the limited visibility  my Jeep had no issues, but i would have been better off sleeping right now.

-9F at the house this morning. 68 inside with the furnace on 3 and the wood eater cranking.

My snow cone maker is making ice in full force (AKA the OAK pipe).

Hope everyone in the northeast fares well with the storm you're getting.
