I can't change the weather, so I looking forward to some new crisp apples, some cider, and some of that hard cheese they sell at the apple farms. That is also a good place to buy real honey. Also will be a time for home made bread and hearty stews.

Same here Scotty, before last night I had been in our pool 6 times. The pooch and I have been in the last 2 nights so I'm up to 8 and I will be closing it the weekend after Labor day. Oh well, we'll move into Fall burning and cutting.

It has. I'm down in the eastern part on the Md line which normally has hot humid summers and it's been very cool. I've lived all over the state and the main reason I live here is the winters aren't as harsh. I'm from Erie and have lived in Pittsburgh and State College - Erie obviously gets more snow but I thought State College was the worst with the brutal cold and wind. Down here I don't mind the cold but hate the snow because it's not handled as well as what I'm used to by municipalities or the motoring public. Hopefully the ground is frozen with no snow on it.. :)

I'm right over the hill from State College. ...and yes the winters can be harsh here in the central mountains!

And Shawn's 5 alarm chipotle chili! If ya can't get warm on the outside, might as well be warm on the inside!

I'm taking the AC out of the bedroom window. We only have one window in there. The AC doesn't allow me to let fresh air in. I'll just use a screen and window fan for now. I like the window open at least an inch until the temps are freezing. Then the wife won't tolerate my fresh air kick. Didn't need the AC but a few evenings this year. It never got to being a hot spell.
