Great when inflation for 12months ending September 1 was 3.7. Slowly losing ground

We gave up Coke a long time ago. Just store brand cola now. Cant afford the brands anymore, no relief in sight either. :headbang:

I gave up diet soda many years ago after a doctor told me how its bad for my blood pressure. Ill go on seltzer kicks now and then.
Tea and coffee in the AM, water the rest of the day.

Yeah she'll buy soda from time to time and you're not kidding about price.

I stopped drinking soda in 2019 I think. I don't miss it at all.

Coke and Pepsi product prices have risen sky high! I think they are trying to find out just how much the public will pay.....

    Lost us long ago.
Couple years ago I gave it up 100% for one year. Didn’t loose one pound of weight. Didn’t really affect my sleep either, which is why I quit. Got shuffled to night shift at my old job and told em I’d do it for a year, if they couldn’t get me back on days I’d be gone. Kept my promise. Let me tell you though, the first times I tried drinking it again after that year was rough. It F’d my guts up bad.
I drink hot tea every morning but then end up with a soda for lunch for the sugar and caffeine. Probably a bad habit. Heck the Brisk teas (etc) have just as much sugar.

Pepsico is carrying around 50B in debt (Coke has a bunch also). I asked the AI to project when that debt would be 'paid off'. Essentially the answer was 'never'.

I still have about one coke per week but only the ones hecho in Mehico (why do we feed ourselves chemicals in the US?). Was talking to someone other day and realized I can't remember what Mt. Dew tastes like. lol

1 cup green tea with honey daily. Springwater.

Check the label on the pure leaf 'sweet tea' bottles. :bug: lol...they make an 'extra sweet' version even.

I cut way back on drinking soda but with the hotter weather of summer, I always succumb to the cravings. But, I'm still way under what I used to drink.

Typically, a 2 liter will last for close to a week with the bottom couple of inches usually thrown away due to being flat.

Stopped drinking soda about 10 years ago. Drink Gatoraid instead.

As far as the 3.6% could be better could be worse. As long as Medicare does not go up then more money in the bank.

The only drinks with bubbles for me, are beer, tonic and gin, and some bubbly wine over the holidays.

I drink 1 Diet Coke a day. If the wife and I go to the Dairio I’ll drink Mountain Dew, because they only have Pepsi products.
My mom has been pounding Diet Coke and before that Tab as long as I can remember. She’s 84 now and still keeps her fridge stocked with DC with backup inventory in the garage.

The older I get, the less sugar I like in my tea. I love the unsweetened pure leafs. The regular sweet one is way too much for me, good lawd extra sweet!?!? Wonder if pours like syrup!

I do drink Dew here and there I mostly have to pour it over lots of ice and drink slow so it gets watered down.
