Very cool Old 040 - I was in Warren 4 x per year for 4 years but love history so looked up the area and - thanks for the additional pics - wow - back in the day - the $$$ that was there was impressive.
A few more pics to make your day, some of the eateries and pubs and a shoeshine/cigar store on that same stretch of road from the time period or even earlier. I find it funny that most of the men in the pubs are older, not like all the young'ns you would see today.
Thanks for the pics - not sure why i am fascinated by a city 1000 miles from where i am from (CT) - but NE ohio intrigues me - thanks for the pics and hope you and people are doing well - chin up. thanks
Joy land in Wichita Closed in 2006 they removed the sing and had it restored its in a warehouse somewhere in Wichita. They also are restoring the old carousel.
Bob's Java Jive in Tacoma WA. Closed now. I ate breakfast there once, many years ago, just to say I had! Chintzy interior with red leatherette booths and metal rimed tables as I remember. Each booth had one of those mini jute boxes with the flip pages. Breakfast was OK, coffee was great!
