Busy. And a hot one here too! Grass goes from green to crunchy brown every few days! Labor Day saw me splitting wood and yanking my back out of whack, so slow week so far here:mad::confused:
Hope to meet up with y'all some day soon again!

I owned a 1972 El Camino once, it turned out to be a real POS. That's why I would never own a Chevrolet again. Sheesh!

You know husqvarna makes some pretty junky saws as well.

    I know, right?

    I ran a Husqvarna 136, and it was lame. That's why I would never own a 266XP.

I better sell my Poulan 4900, 4000, 2000, Poulan Pro Super 380, and Craftsman branded 2000 before word gets out about how crappy they are, and depresses the market. Son of a..........

I fixed the carb and sharpened the chain on a 141 or 142 for a coworker. Dont remember the number. That saw was terrible! The quick tensioner did not keep the chain tight and the saw seemed to have no guts. And it was the worse carb I have taken off a modern saw.

I wouldnt buy one. I like my 38cc earthquake way more than those small husky s... and I just limb trees with it.

We had a '75 Vega...would have loved an El Camino.
Husky 136, 137, 141, 142 are real cheaply made homeowner saws....BUT you can buy a non runner for $10, slap a P&R in and sell for $110 because it says Husqvarna.

My previous comment about the 136 and 266XP was "tongue in cheek".

I was being sarcastic(not unusual for me), in drawing a conclusion on a brand with a broad sweeping generalization, based solely on one bad experience with a POS model from a specific manufacturer.

In hindsight, a more illustrative statement would be, "I hated a McCulloch MiniMac I owned, so I sold my perfectly functioning, low hour Pro Mac 800".

I found another Craftsman labeled "PP5020AV" on CL, looked new, $60. I jump on the bike and go for a lil ride to see it (PERFECT day for a ride here in OH-IO) I get there and the guy whips out the saw...IN A CASE! I didn't know he had a case too. This thing looks like it might, MIGHT have had one tank of fuel through it. Guy said his FIL bought it, cut up a few limbs and then gave it to him, and he just doesn't use it. Fired right up, sounded great, oiling good, I said "$50"? he says "sure". I load 'er up and enjoy my 40 minute ride home (well, I may have taken a lil longer  )
I get home and sink this thing into a piece of Locust, BRRRAP!...and then it quits. Acts like it's running out of fuel, I thought hmmm, needs a carb clean. Since it was getting dark and I wanted to finish cutting a few limbs etc, and didn't have anymore fuel mixed up, I decided to dump the fuel out of the new saw into one of my other saws. When I did, I noticed that the fuel pickup line was kinked...cut the kink off, put the fuel back in and BRRRAP! Runs like a top!:dancer: :rootintootin:

That is the only saw I have, in the Poulan version. It will serve you well at that price. New in the case they go for $170-200.

This is my second 5020, I have (3) of their 42cc x 18" saws too. Can't beat 'em for the...let's see now...$230 that I have invested in the 5 of 'em in total...and all but one was basically new
