Those little baby earthquakes kill people..... I went through two of them the last one asleep in my FLD sleeper and let me tell ya the truck moved 25ft and only stopped because I hit another truck that was against a wall.
Ok, here goes... You guys are forgetting about some of the great advantages of city life. I've lived just outside of Philly and DC. There is so much variety in the city. So many things to do. Football games, sporting events, etc right in you back yard. Metro train runs you right there so you can indulge and not worry about driving. Food... Italian, Chinese, Indian, Thai, burgers and dogs, its all a short metro trip away. Medical... I can see an orthopaedic surgeon in the morning and get an mri that evening. There are about 30 mri places around here, at least one of them is open until 10pm. Living in the city you have immediate access to so many things. In some ways it can be very convenient. Once you become familiar with the city and master public transportation you can navigate the city with ease. Different strokes for different folks. I'm not saying the city is better, but it does have its advantages.
