You as well, there is some really nasty stuff in SE Nebraska now that looks to be drifting towards St. Joseph. It looks like Omaha is going to get hammered again also.
I had a 5-pak of them a couple years back. Had one and found it enjoyable, gave two away and the guy really liked them. That should leave two of them somewhere......unless I mailed them out...(?)
Pray you stayed safe last night. Hail sucks. But it really sucks when you farm. We had bad hail about 30 miles south of us a week ago. Heard last night of farms having to completely replant. Not good but it happens. We are still dealing with hail from a year ago but can’t get our shingles yet nor find a decent painter that wants the job. That means I’m doing it so gotta get in the mood.
It split the city... Thank goodness... Hopefully yours wasn't too severe... Yep hail stinks... Good luck on the roofing...
Everything stayed west of us, the sun actually made an appearance before it set last night. All is good here except my wife just got back from Vegas on Thursday, she went with her sister & her 2 kids. They all now have the rona, coughing, hacking, headaches & sore throats. They have all been jabbed 2-3 times, I am feeling well & refused to get jabbed.
That’s a bad deal not being able to get any shingles for your house. I would rather have my fingernails ripped out than paint. Lol. I am not sure where my utter disdain for painting came from but it’s there. There a several folks around here replanting from that same system that hit south of you. Just west of us about 15 miles apparently they had drifts of hail the next morning.
Glad you were spared but too bad about the dirty C your wife and fam picked up. I also haven’t been vaccinated and have had it twice but not bad thankfully. Apparently certainteed quick making any “special” shingles when Covid hit due to labor I assume. Thankfully my roof isn’t bad and I have a whole year to get it fixed. I actually do airless painting as a side gig but have tried to slow that down as I don’t enjoy it as much as I used to. I can prep one day and spray my whole house in a day and a half if I hustle. But I painted it three years back and didn’t prep much so last years hail knocked much of the paint off. I’ll take my time and do better this time. I’ll keep your wife in my prayer list
At just shy of the 2 hour mark, had decent flavor, an uneven burn on the first 2/3. It needed a couple touch ups. I believe they need a bit more humidor time. It was a double corona. At this point I prefer the La Perla Habana Maduro. On a different subject rona lady is up & about, she seems to be feeling a bit better
Thanks, she is feeling much better. I started getting a sore throat & the sniffles today but that happens every summer with ridiculously high heat indexes & me getting in/out of tractor cabs that have a/c.
I have some #2’s I believe. On a side note, if I lose my sense of taste I won’t be able to tell a chitty cigar from a good one…
I haven’t had a cigar since Monday or Tuesday too much sinus drainage then the fever & body aches started. Today was the only day I didn’t go work in the hay field. 12 hours yesterday beating around in the tractor really took it out of me. I haven’t lost my sense of taste or smell. I will be going back to mowing hay tomorrow. Nancy is still coughing pretty regularly & according her home tests she still tests positive.
Fluids(preferably water ), lots of vit C and Zinc and of course rest. Take care of yourself and Nancy
No problem with the water, its either water or milk for me. I am drinking about a gallon of water a day, 50mg of zinc, vitamin c capsules & multi vitamin chews twice a day. Ivermectin once a day. Lots of fruit & vegetables also. I am feeling pretty well but sleep is hard to come by partly because of the max strength Mucinex.
Dang it James!!!!!! Sorry to hear this about you and your wife. Man buddy I hope the both of you get well soon.
