Soooo, I went ahead & pulled the trigger on the Clevelander when it was on sale for $236 & free shipping. Seems to be working well so far. 250 cigars seems to be a monumental stretch. I have about 150 in there plus a 1/2# bag of Heart Felt Beads & I wouldn’t want to put many more in. I also snagged a $12 Spanish Cedar tray off the interweb for the bottom part.
I am not sure I fall in that category, I about choked on my pizza when I read that. Lol. I just wanted something with cooling since I am a bit squeaky when it comes to turning in the A/C & my brother is even squeakier. I still have my wood humidors & 2 coolers in use. I doubt I will wait until it hits 80*+ in the shack this year or Mama will really be doing a lot of complaining. She was chirping the other day about wanting it on, when it was 75*
So what are you gents using for cutters ? This has been my main cutter, I believe it’s a cheap knock off of the Perfect Cutter. It came with with my La Flor Dominicanas Mojitos. It keeps me from snipping too much off of them & a bit learning on where to snip them.
I have a single blade cutter that was gifted to me back in the 90's....and should be tossed. But, it still works good enough. I also have some new ones and a couple double blades and some punches. I used the punches for years and just recently switched back to the cutters. My theory is that the cigar lasts a bit longer with the cutter as opposed to the punch as all the smoke narrows down to the hole that is punched and shortens the good taste of the cigar quicker. (?) Seems to work.
This Kristoff is very smooth & tasty cigar also a slow burner. This 50 minutes into it & I am going to cut it off rain is about 5-10 minutes away, time to head to the house.
Raked some more gravel back ont the driveway last evening. Ouch....moving pretty slow this morning. This kept me company; I forgot I had them. Pretty good.
