It was; he really enjoyed it!

And then asked again what it was; I think he'll be getting some for himself.

Wife went away for the weekend with her girlfriends. That means I can smoke on the screen porch! Grabbed an Arturo Fuente Anejo from the stash and paired it with some bourbon.

    Perfect night.

Bought these a couple (?) years ago and am finally able to enjoy them now! Formerly, a bit too strong for my liking.

Why? Looks like a good one. I’ve seen, just never pulled the trigger on them...

That’s a shame. I like Rocky's cigars. The Decades are very nice. These boutique specials from makers are hit and miss. Maybe give it a long nap then revisit them.

The first ever sun grown maduro I had was unbelievable! I put them on my list to buy. Got a 5-pak and let them acclimate to the coolidor for some time....1/2 year, I think. EDIT.....I just checked and I've had them for only three months.

But in the meantime, I was smoking less and less frequent and enjoying smoking less.....
After about 15 minutes with this one, the nicotine started and after an hour, I had it!

One thing I've noticed about smoking less is that the nicotine shows up and lot faster and has a greater effect on me .

I had the decade the week previous and same thing with that one.

Guess I need to smoke more!!! I'm not quite ready to quit.

I have noticed that when smoking my pipe I feel no effects from it but a good size cigar with raise my blood pressure.
That is why I only smoke the shorter cigars these days. Like you said it must be the nicotine.

Nic kick will make you nauseous. I don’t like anything high in nicotine. All my pipe baccys are mild. Cigars don’t get me as bad, most times, unless they are Connecticut wrappers. They upset my guts for some reason. They also taste like tea to me. Unless they are Madura, sungrown, Cameroon or some other medium to dark wrapper, I don’t like em. Candela is another wrapper I avoid.

I should check my BP when I get that feeling. I know that tobacco does raise your sugar level, although I have no idea how or why.

Just realized I’m smoking my pipe right now, filled with Macanudo Montego Y Cia American Blend. Light vanilla and it’s good.

I’m still smoking my pipe. Too dang hot outside during the day, and too many skeeters at night to smoke cigars this summer. You guys reminded me I need to pick up some RPs.

I’m thinking after today and yesterday... a cigar and an adult beverage is starting to sound good...

These are excellent. I discovered them on Cigar Bid a few years back and scored a wheel at about $3 a stick, if I remember correctly. Now they are in demand and have gone up quite a bit. You reminded me I need to get some too.
