Hoping that maybe....just maybe, since the Super bowl is on, maybe the cigar auction sites will be a little slow today and offer some good deals!

This weeks cigar was a RP edge maduro. If you like a strong one, this is for you. Me, not so much. I've had stonger and didn't like them, this was strong but still enjoyable.

No thanks. A bit too strong for my tastes.

Had one of these recently. Maduro wrapper and had one after only a couple days. It was good but I'm wondering just how good it will get after a few month rest in the coolidor!!!!

In your case, I don't remember if I sent along a humidifier along. If I did, immerse it in water for a good 5 minutes, wipe it off and then into the humidor.

If I didn't, wipe down the inside of the humidor and that piece of Spanish cedar so it absorbs moisture (but not dripping wet) and use that for moisture control of the humidor

If the cigars have dried out, be cautious not to re-humidfy them too fast or the wrappers may split.

But yeah, wipe down the Spanish cedar with water and put back into the humidor/ it'll give the cigars the needed moisture.

Hi, Yes, the humidor from you, Thank You so much, WWW's enjoyed 4 of them so far :) I put a test tube with gel crystals in there to humidify the cigars, it's not drying out much despite our low humidity in the house. Chvymn99 sent me some Spanish Cedar from , THANKS also, WWW really appreciated the ones you sent back then :). I wish I could tell if you wiped down the humidor, what I can say is that it smelled great when we opened the box (so I would guess you did) as well as the crystals are not loosing much water.

I don't think they are dried out, he lit one in here before going outside today, it smelled so much better than the gas station cigars he kept in the trucks before. I can't fit my digital battery operated hygrometer in there yet. Maybe I should take out a couple cigars to make room for it and see where it's at?

Sounds like everything that is being done is working out just fine. I didn't realize you had a moisture source (the gel tube).
Yes, I did wipe down the interior of the humidor since it is one that I had not been using for probably 2-3 years.

    Yeah, gas station cigars.....:picard:

Had my last one of these today. It was about three years in the coolidor as close as I can tell. Seems they are unavailable now.

But man, was it ever good!!!!

I was out with my wife yesterday. We drove by the large cigar shop that I occasionally visit, it has a large smoking lounge in the back. The led sign out front was scrolling "husband daycare, we'll take good care of him" my wife got a huge kick out of that.

Ended up having the rocky patel edge today. Well, half of one anyway. Started strong, got mild and tasty, then just took a dive into hot and bad and barnyard (manure) type aroma.

The maduro edge I had last month was a lot better.

    Should've had the Mark Twain.
