    Yup. 50 cents per cigar.

I tried to look up this excise tax. Couldn’t find anything.. I know they tried to do something federally a couple of years ago…

Did a search of "excise tax on cigars by state" and found this on one of the sites.

    16. Kansas
    • Excise Tax: 10% of the wholesale price.
    • Sales Tax: 6.5% state sales tax, with local taxes possible.
    22. Michigan
    • Excise Tax: 32% of the wholesale price, capped at $0.50 per cigar.
    • Sales Tax: 6% state sales tax.

Don't know what the wholesale price is but sure would be nice to be able to buy at wholesale prices!

Yes, but not anything that went into effect on January 1…. I’ll find out this weekend, when I order more as I’m getting low on my quantities. Kinda of been running through some of my older not as well liked ones, here lately.

PA, NH and FL have no excise tax.

How are their prices? Are they like every other B&M-too high compared to what you can get them for online?

I think the store prices match their catalog prices. A small beer distributor near me actually has the best prices around. I had a change in job status so the normal routine has been shaken up a bit.

    Morning Jim!

I've been trying to pop in here and OPE every now and again, but life's just been pretty hectic the last bit of '24. Fall/winter is my busy time with my main job. So, I've just been holding things together with that and keeping things moving forward. I just haven't been doing much with trees, chainsaws, or firewood lately.

Also, several months back I decided to start taking my health a bit more serious (I still smoke my pipes and cigars) and a lot of my free time has been spent on my bike, actually. I took a lot of your advice I messaged ya about earlier in the year and have been building on that ever since. It's transformed my life a bit.

I hope everyone is well and had a good Christmas and a good New Year!

Glad you are staying busy with work & enjoying the cycling. Taking one’s health seriously is a good thing as well.
