Cigars??

Those better be some damm good cigars. Holy smokes.

 

Prices like those are nothing more than chump change for JimBear

 

I doubt that I will be trying one of those any time soon. What is a kidney worth nowadays ? Giving up one of those is the only way I will be acquiring anything in that price range.

 

Thing is I doubt they are worth that. It is still just a cigar after all.

 

And I perceive that at $550 a cigar, I would not be able to enjoy one!

Shop day here. Figured it was a good time to enjoy a cigar while I grind some chains.
This one was tasty. I got tones of earthy creamy smoke with hints of slightly sweet nutty tobacco and a peppery/spicy aftertaste. Very nice.

 

Totally agree with this sentiment. I would probably pay 500 for a cigar if I knew it was a one of a kind unicorn type deal, but at the end of the day it’s just a cigar. Like you said that’s only one part of the equation. To me they are a little like those Pokémon all the kids (and, in some cases, not so kids) go nuts over. Some folks just gotta have them all and the more rare the better. I get that aspect of the hobby and I’ll admit I’m enjoying that side of it. At the end of the day, for my taste anyway, I just can’t see those Cohiba’s being 485 dollars better than what I’ve had so far. Maybe I’ll find out some day

How was it compared to the Brazilian Stalk?

 

I liked the Brazilian Stalk better but I have had them a bit longer. Hopefully some rest will bring the Norteno to life.

 

I still need to get boxes of the other Herrera Esteli's, but I've been putting my money elsewhere at the moment.

 

Nicaraguan 2nd with Cameron wrapper, may as well start the day with some spice.

 

I had this one mid day, it had a Cameroon wrapper also. It was ok, I just got bored with it though.

 

This one was the early evening/late afternoon smoke, the burn was great & flavor was pretty good

 

Just finished this one while talking with the youngest daughter & walking the dogs. It was tasty.

 

Sweetened tip Maduro Toro from Weston Tobacco

 

Had this one over the noon hour, good flavor but I let it go out. This stogie is not for me on an empty tank… Ooooph. Once I got some grub I was good to go.
