It wouldn’t do any good, they would still find a seam to get thru & prod him.

Been using my 036 on them with a shorter bar…. With the smaller diameter of trees… it’s a nice combo…

Can’t go wrong with a 036, one of the best 60cc saws ever imo. I know the av might be out of date. But every 036 I’ve ran, runs pretty dang good. I have an 034 super which is basically the same from what I’ve been told.

Morning fellas!!!!!! Well Jim I’m giving this one a go. I was expecting it to be strong, but it’s mild. I’m more of a mild guy myself anyways haha. I’m still not sure on how to guage them, but I really like the size. Also seems to have a good draw, and even burn. Me and coffee are digging it. 56F9F038-D8C0-4C3B-9EDA-40309A9C020E.jpeg

Gauge them by whether or not you like them, that’s the best way.

I am glad your are enjoying that one.

From me yes, from an Osage round no. Is that a fresh cut?

Is there a hollow in it that was maybe housing a mouse or rat & a rain helped in flushing that out ? Otherwise it just has to be a weird mixture of water & pigmentation from the wood.

Fresh cut…. I looked and never saw anything besides coming out of that crack…it was water like and thin… it had to be like some minerals and water in it... It was so weird I had to take a video or nobody would have believed it….

I had this one this afternoon after knocking down & limbing about 30 trees; about a dozen Walnuts, a dozen Ash, 6 Honey Locusts & 1 small oak. It was excellent.

Note to self : get the hell out of the way when the tree is going down so it’s doesn’t bounce & whack you in the leg. I had an 18” walnut bounce about 3’ off to the side when the canopy hit the ground & whack me in the shin, I thought I was going to loose my groceries. It’s good thing the ground was greasy or it probably would of broke my leg.

    Sad to hear that.

I got nailed last fall with a red oak log that was a little faster than I was rolling off the pile. Had an ugly swollen bloody for a day and sore shin for weeks!

We don't move as well or quick as we used to! :handshake:

Glad to hear it was no worse... working trees can be hazardous... so many things we dont see till its too late or its happening... But the cigar looks good on the positive note...
