    I can understand that 100%. I told the wife i don't want to keep going places on Christmas. Not to be foolish but to many in the family make it about look what i got or we got the kids this or are taking them there. I would rather just stay at home and have a nice dinner.

    Sorry to hear that GS, but I know it can happen. Have had BS issues in ours also over the years too. Hope the dust settles soon and you can get beyond all of it, no matter how it all washes out. Family squabbles aren't fun... at all.

    I think gifts are more for kids.... We don't buy each other gifts at our place its more about together time. We donated a lot of things to the homeless shelter this year as our family gift to truly help some in need....

    I got welding cart from my buddy even though I said don't buy me anything lol.

    We are renting a movie and got pizza and beer for the night.

    Both mama bear and I concluded...1 volunteer to work. 2 rent a room out of state. 3 This option is socially and legally unacceptable, would be national news, involve prison time and allow us to never have to be around them again.
