Christmas trees

    We bought a fake tree two years ago. Not sure it is even getting set up this year. Same with yard decorations.
    Many of the few Christmas tree farms around here had no/few trees due to the drought.
    One local importer of trees closed up shop this past week. In the past he's ordered another trailer load of trees but for whatever reason(s) he didn't do that this year.

    When I was little we'd make decorations to put on the tree, put the tree out for the birds and then look for our bright colored decorations (yarn/string, etc.) in bird's nests during the Spring/Summer.
    I find small bits of plastic in bird's nests too. Often bits of plastic bag lining the bottom of the inside. Birds certainly are/can be resourceful.
