To date I have not received the MS270c saw from jeff_t. We did PM about it so I'm sure he intends to send it, and I did tell him he didn't need to rush it or anything. However, I think I'll pass on it at this point. My original intent was to give it to a specific member here although I later saw on his signature that he had gone and bought a new saw. I then planned to give it to an elderly neighbor of mine. During this time I have finished rebuilding 2 of my own "extra" saws, my favorite old 024AV (replaced by my 241C and backed up with my 026) and the MS390 (covered by everything else). As I have more than enough saws already, I'm just going to offer my neighbor his choice of those two instead of the "hopefully fixed" 270c.

I'm therefore passing my dibs on this saw onto Clemsonfor and Barcroftb in that order as they replied above. You guys decide what you want to do and notify jeff_t accordingly. If by chance its in the mail as we type then I'll keep it and go ahead with the original plan. Otherwise, you guys have at it. Good luck with it, and Merry Christmas to one of you!

Apologies Boog. It's been one thing after another. This week it's sick people. My wife started hacking at the top of the stairs and lost her balance, so we spent half the day at urgent care yesterday. X-rays didn't show any rib fractures, but did show pneumonia in her lungs.

Spent the rest of the day fixing the railing, which was a couple brackets short, and the three that were there were just screwed thru the plaster and into the lath:picard:

I have it all drained. Just need to wipe it down and find a box. Who wants it now? I don't work again until Tuesday, so I should find time to get it sent out. The only thing I know I have to do is get brakes on my car so I can sell it, because I got a new(er) pickup last week

I listed a Homelite service manual last year or so? for free + shipping. A member asked about shipping cost but I never heard back from him?
