I know the wood gets harder as it ages. Get it old enough and you can’t drive a concrete nail into it I also now agree with Brads preference the bark should be off. This winter I used some BL that had been split and stacked for 3 years, bark still on for ballast in the truck. Took it off a couple weeks ago. Most of the bark was ready to fall off as I was taking it off the truck. Those little yellow worms were still thriving under the bark. Now it wasn’t covered all that great. Rubber on top but it blows back a lot and I don’t bother fixing it often as I knew I wasnt burning it this year. Still a little surprised to see those critters in there. Bark off is a much nicer, cleaner, more compact product.
Well the Saint Paddy’s day in March seems to work. Leprechaun visited me today. One more load delivered. Says he has one more load coming ,y way sometime this week. Oh Boy
