    If memory serves me right you dont have them down there do you T.Jeff Veal ?
    As simple as that sounds i cant say ive ever seen one actually growing in the woods. They seem to grow like weeds roadside, vacant areas in poor soil conditions etc. based on my observations.

    Heck I’ve never seen one anywhere until I went to pick up these logs. They were rampant in that neighborhood.
    Near me it’s all Sassafras and black or white Birch that takes over openings

    After what ive seen on the forum since my joining in February that load you scored jo191145 is the nicest. Keep in mind, like you i knew almost nothing of locust.
    There is a couple spots around here where some sits roadside and this Winter i may grab them.
