If you were closer, I would trailer my three pt blower over and do some teaching. I would put all of it on his roof, with 40 hp behind it. It would be fine before he could get out the door!

There are obviously a lot of things wrong with what is going on here...Makes me even happier to have no neighbors that I can see and that I have a 1/4 mile driveway...however, I don't like that you can't get to the bottom of your T where the clean out is on the chimney pipe...to me having access is a must have for safety...I believe it is a safety issue as well as maintenance issue...not a good thing at all.

I agree try talking to him like a human being...if that is a bust...then I am not sure if you have a Codes Officer or what to help you out.

....did you get a permit/inspection when you put in your chimney?...basically is it 'legal' as far as the municipality is concerned?...if it is, then I would say that there isn't much other way to go than get the Town or LEO involved should the guy turn out to be unreasonable.

Not so much the issue of the chimney, rather the issue of him dumping snow where he shouldn't.

I agree...but maybe appealing to the neighbors sense of safety/maintenance would have some success. I would not do well with such a neighbor that is disrespectful towards my property....besides, I would go nuts living that close to other homes.

What did he say when you asked him to stop?
He needs to stop. If he won't, then I'd either return the snow or get the city involved.

If it's no big deal, then the guy should blow the snow at his own house .

he mostly said sorry, "I didnt turn the discharge chute fast enough" (talking about hitting the wall above the snow, what you can see on the picture)

I wasn't in the mood of telling him to literally stop sending snow on the foundation/base of the house, I was napping when he did that and the sound just woke me up. It would not have been a very good time to discuss that.

I said thanks after he said sorry and I simply left. I guess that discussion need to be continued at some point.

Ya. So he still thinks its ok to blow snow on your property. Im getting older so it takes a bit more to get me going most times but this is the type of thing that would do it for me.

I have a front mount blower on my JD, PTO drive. SOOOO MUCHHH better than a back blade! I have had a couple of little things break (small hydraulic line, shear pin, cable for chute) no big deal. I do the work in 20 to 30 minutes now...used to be at least and hour and then some.

I love not seeing neighbors at all and really value the privacy...may not be for everyone, but I love it!!!
