With the cold and a very uninsulated house I was testing out different burns and looking to get temps around the 600 mark on stove top. Were are slowly gutting the house and adding insulation so it will balance out eventually and be enough stove. With running 1 3/4-2 stove seems to run around 400-500. Get longer burns but less heat to combat the draft.

Still learning the stove and the last few cold spells have I have been trying hotter burns to see how it goes. Probably won't burn it that hot much.

People can't seem to see why I have to run my big 3.5cuft cat stove so high in SC. Cause I have almost no insulation and we like it warm.
