Now ain't that a purdy sight. I really like the large glass areas on the Madison; I love to sit and watch the fire burn in mine. If you have someone special to sit with you it is all the better.

Are those your little girls in the background? Looks like they are going to have great fun playing with the box.

On the smaller Madison, the ash pan is on the side. I have yet to use mine because I still have not gotten a coal rake. If you don't have one, you will want to get one because it can help save the coals by raking them out of the ashes. I keep looking for something I can convert into a coal rake. There is a thread on here on coal rakes.

I got help in moving my 02 Madison but I still removed the fire brick, the door (less worry of breaking the glass), and even the heat shields. You may not want to bother with removing the shields. I did not know if they would get bent when using a hand dolly to move the stove inside the house so opted to removed them.

Let's give his girls a standing applause. I am guessing you made sure the brake was on. I use the brake on my saw as a habit if I am carrying the saw while it is running.

Did you get the locking rings for the chimney sections? I think you said you will be going up through the roof. Depending on how far you extend above the roof, you may need a roof guy.

One celling support (round with 4 tabs) one chimney to pipe connection, one attic insulation tube thing, one roof flange with collar, 3 locking rings, one chimney rain cap, one black double wall pipe 24",
    2 24" single wall pipe,

one double walled dampener, two thermometers (one for stove top and one for single line pipe.
And one 12-18 in sliding double walled pipe.
Oh and some fire silicone stuff and roof calking.
As well as some new ceramic knives for the wife that way if she stabs me when she sees the receipt I hope it will be a quick and relatively painless stabbing death.

Be sure you Calk the coller.
I assume you have it figured out how you need to hook the single wall and double wall together properly?
Like I said I never worked with double wall so IDK.
Be careful up in the attic, don't need any injuries or big ceiling repairs:)

That reminds me of the time my dad was working in the Attic, my mother hollered, dinner is ready, a couple of minutes later CRASH!! my dad's leg came poking through the ceiling :hair: couple of scrapes and bruises, he caught himself so he didn't fall all the way through.
I think he was really hungry and got in a hurry:rofl:

It is not that hard, you'll get it done. I am scared of heights and I got mine done.

(When people see me on a roof and obviously scared, they wonder how I could have been a pilot for 20 years. I guess in the plane my air sickness balances it out ... )
