Keep an eye out, I thought I had one and it has turned to 8! I have another one that I know of but it isn't a regular like the other ones were.
The one that got ours would show up in the wee morning hours. We'd hear the squawking, but never got out there in time. SIL is having problems with hers now. A couple have gotten out of the pen and wander around it.........they unappeared w/o a trace....maybe a couple feathers. One was a good sized rooster with an attitude. Probably a hawk.
Can't believe in eight weeks these pooping machines will be in the freezer. Will be building portable, move able pens this week..
In our local paper today, Massachusetts woman’s chicken getting $2,500 prosthetic leg Andrea Martin, of Clinton, tells The Telegram & Gazette she is paying for the $2,500 operation out of her own pocket.
I saw that on a news app the other day too. The worst part if IIRC it stated this was not the first bird to have one made for it. Sorry but I would haveor.
Layers are now laying. Last batch of meat birds for the year comes in next week. Only 100 chickens on hand right now.
This may upset someone, sound non PC, be insensitive, or some other nonsense, however.................. She's an idiot. Pure. and. simple.
We know someone that spent $40K on cancer in his dog's leg. The dog didnt hunt either, just a parade of him running loose then the owner running and screaming at him over several acres.
Well, I love my dogs and all, but I've also had 'em put down when needed. A chicken? Just wow. I'll keep quiet now.
My neighbors and me were talking about this this morning. I love my dog and all but I wouldn't spend that kind of money on either one of them. The vet insisted my 11 year old beagle needed leg surgery. I told the wife give it some time and see how she is. She's back up and running around.
Well this little guy grew up and turn into the beginnings of a beautiful rooster. He sounded kinda of funny the other morning... Trying to clear his vocal cords.... .... He'll be leaving to a new home soon....
161 birds...going to divide them into 2 tractors this weekend. 3 weeks 1 day old. Probably the best looking batch all year. 50 lbs of feed and 10 gallons of water a day already.
