    Thanks! I don't know about over your way, but we've been getting pounded with rain and storms since last night. It stopped for about a half hour so I quickly cut down a bunch of branches that were either above the pole barn or close next to it and the skies opened up again. A few more to go. Can't do much when it's pouring. Oh, cleaned the coop a bit and hung a cabbage in there since they are stuck inside their run.

    Mother Nature is definitely a woman. We've had evening storms for the last 3 days and today it's 5 minutes of rain followed by 5 minutes of sun then 30 mile an hour winds... Repeat

    That smell of wet steamy feathers permeates everything, doesn’t it!

    Dad got a deal on layer roosters when I was a kid - as they pull the hens from the grower house to put in the cage houses, they sort out the few roosters that made it past the initial sexing. He got 400 at something like $o.50 each. They came with lice, and the lice were quick to jump ship when the bird was killed. I was so glad to see the last one go.

    Last picture were it. Dawn's parents up this week, no work done. I'll likely work on it again starting tomorrow. Alot to do over the next couple days. The schedule in my mind is to have all the roof rafters up by Sunday night.

    Update, I did spend some time out there getting the hurricane ties put up. I'll go get 40- 2x8x10s tomorrow and start hanging. Hot and tired for now.....

    Managed to get the lower rafters up and connected to the far rear beam. Did these myself, Dawn will help get up the front rafters after break until 1pm. Storms fast approaching, gonna maybe have time to get a nail in each one at least.

    Well, got these up in about 30 min, then the skies opened up. Rain slowing, sun coming back out, big storms in about an hour. Holding to line everything up and get some nails in!
