Thanks dylskee, we like the cherry too. I'm thinking by next fall this cherry will be ready. Hopefully before next fall you'll be seeing some pictures of some ash being stacked, that nasty little bug (EAB) has hit our county.
Except for some clearing around the house property this fall, we usually only take the cherry that have fallen. Like you said they look nice, I still have some rounds on the backhill I never rolled down that needs splitting.
Nice work! I have to cut some cherry for next year as well. There's better BTU stuff out there, but it seasons quickly, and smells great. My oldest brother and his GF are staying with us for a few days after Christmas. I'm saving some cherry and apple that I have saved up for when they stay over.
