    Here is the latest addition to the pivot building asset list;

    It is a 26' site caravan so we can camp onsite. It weighs 5 ton but the 300hp Scania doesn't even know it is on the back. Ringfeeder, air brakes, twin a/c, shes the real deal:dex:

    Looked at standard caravans but decided we would just end up wrecking them when used offroad. This thing is outback tough. We drove 300km to collect from the freight yard after it was floated down 3,800 from extreme North Queensland.

    First big job is late Sep after we get back from 12 day holiday in China.

    Here is a video out of the US of guys doing our job only heaps faster.
    THeir setup is pretty similar to ours just their technique is sooo much better.
    I have spoken to the boss man to get some more tips and as we are on the other side of the world he would share as we are not a threat. His problem is too much competition, our problem is not enough!!
    This video is 20 mins long but there are shorter ones but for my money this one is best as it shows a lot of small technical details which are invaluable to me, not much interest to you guys.
    This video is fantastically produced and shows the value of a well controlled drone. The work of the erectors shows all the precision of a Jacki Chan. Should save us heaps if we can incorporate some of the ideas, which I am sure we can.

    We use 5.2 amp battery drivers but also have corded ones. These guys would drain the batteries so fast that corded is actually better.

    Just back from 12 days in China and tomorrow I head off with my local Chinese engineer to drive 1,000 mile to our next install of 3 pivots. The factory engineer will fly in early next week. Just can't get away from rice for dinner:rolleyes:

    If we were as good as the yanky guys we would be done in 3 days. I have allowed 2 weeks but hope to use the tips to cut down the time.

    Just had the truck back to the hydraulic guys. They had it 3 weeks while we were away and the boom was still creeping down coz they didn't bother to check after putting in new seals.:picard:

    So it now has a new safety valve after I thought it might be worth checking before driving 1,000 miles. Idiots.

    Here is a pic of today's weight loading test with a ton of crushed olive pits. Perfect now.
