Chanterelles?

    I haven't seen them in person yet, but looks like Dad found a mess of chanterelles!

    I thought this was about an early 60's Motown group.....one I'd never heard of.:)

    They aren't chanterelles, btw. Sulfur shelf and dryad's saddle-- turns out he had two kinds.

    Chanterelles are edible and good, dryad's saddle edible but not so good (had them last year--meh) and sulfur are edible but have a higher chance of being toxic to some people. I advised him to toss the sulfurs and to lower expectations for the dryad's saddle.

    With all the different types of mushrooms, many being poisonous, I'm not sure I'd ever feel comfortable eating any that were wild picked.
