Theres one for sale local with little rust and solid deck so i need the scoop. The good? The bad? The ugly? Waiting to hear if he is interested in trading some cord wood for it. Whats something like this worth?
The tractor is a Simplicty 7016 that has been rebadged. I would grab it especially if it has a hitch. If in good condition I would give several cords of wood for it.
hey guido, might you happen to have a good website where i can go to educate myself on these older lawn tractors. would like to learn about some of the more desirable models so i can know what to keep an eye out for. this guy hasnt called me yet...
stopped in to follow up on this over the weekend. he never called me bacause he wasnt interested in firewood. he ended up letting it go for $300, including sickle bar! nobody mention anything about a sickle bar to me. i think i coulda found the 300 clams if that were the case.... buddy of his has a bolens 1700. no mower deck or anything comes with it, asking $400.
Tractorbynet.com Is also a good place. It competes with MTF the forum Nate mentioned. I think TBN has a bit more traffic as well.
