Your interest should take another step next Sunday. Unless the weather gets me again I'll be making a trip to 'the parts guy'...

Good idea to wait. Also, give him a LOT of practice before he tries something like that 170. My buddy has been doing this for years and has a large-scale operation and he said the 170 was a pretty good challenge.

That's actually the brand of the transfer pattern. The guy I know who does this is teaching his son how to do it and since I was just playing around with this type of stuff I told him it would be fine if the youngster did these plastics. I'm just going to slap them on a CL flipper anyway.

I also kind of thought that they were possibility the brand of camo transfer or whatever.

I like that saw. I need (want) one.

Im interested in seeing how much more $ it brings in vs a normal used saw!

Care to share the costs associated with this? You know, what a guy who doesn't know him would pay? My old 066 needs a face lift if the price is in my range :) pm is fine if you don't want to publicize it.

No problem. Just for same of some popular samples/sizes he told me he could do an MS261 cover for $45, or MS460 plastics for $25 per piece. Not much difference in 460 covers versus 066, so I would say it would be $50 to spruce up your 066. Normally that would include shipping, but if you're patient I could help you avoid that as I'm in his area (visiting my family) almost monthly.

I don't think this is prohibited on FHC, so check out his website: www.DuckvilleImaging.com

Just wondering how this finish is holding up. Durability is my concern. I'd like to get my sons JYD Husky 55 top and recoil covers done in camo. Have ya run the saw a bunch?

I seen rifles and pistols done. I guess it dont wear off that easy. Holster or carry wear can be pretty rough on guns.

Have not ran mine a lot, but I cam say based on the finish. That is should hold up very well.

This is a Carbon fiber print by the same company.

They did a great job with mine. Based on several pics I sent and an idea.

If you go to the website I noted above (DuckvilleImaging.com) you'll see a bunch of examples in the gallery section. As clemsonfor mentioned I've seen it a lot on firearms intended for heavy use, so I always figured that was a good testament to the durability. From what I understand, the key is the quality of the clear coat finish. You can go with a matte finish if you don't like the shine, but I'm assuming it's similar to other paints and the 'shinier' the finish, the more durable.

I did go there. Thanks for the info. I'm seriously considering doing this as a surprise for my son. He just rebuilt an ugly 55 and I think it would look awesome.

Morning fellers. It is a neat looking saw, but I have to ask if you plan on using it? I take the powder coated paint off of a new bar in a weekend, so I wonder how this will hold up. Again, well done, and it looks great. I was just wondering how it will look after a hard weekend of work.

If your bar paint is coming off in a weekend your either cutting 20+ cords or not oiling enough or running a super dull chain and overheating it.
