I put of them up For Sale at a friends saw shop today......... I need to stay away from C/L....My favorite saws are the ms 460's.
I know this is a strange looking saw. I drug it out of the pond on Tuesday. It wouldn't crank, but it tasted real good. Waiting on Jesus
Arriving soon in a week or so from my contact in Redding,CA - a very scarce McCulloch 440 -5.3 cube 87cc powerhouse with a short production run - from July 1963 to April 1964 only.Includes very clean Oregon 32" rollernose .404 pitch bar/chain.Little brother to my 740 of same vintage, both have the ''new'' adjustable output automatic oiler with manual override. The nicest one I've ever seen for sure.Talk about a barn find...
To a point I guess, had room for 5 more,2 of those are up here in rafters.Either 1 or 2 more can fit up here.Depending on size. The 440 will go here,in front of that Homelite sign next to the XP1100 gear drive beast
Am used to compact spaces, learned to use every available square inch to my advantage. Room for 1 more big one on floor next to the Mac 125C without taking up floor space near the door or in front of bench.Hope its gonna be the super rare Homie 3100G gear drive monster. That was only produced for 2 yrs,not many were sold.It might take a few years to locate one I can afford.Know of one in Saskatchawan Canada its restored to mint condition.Seller wanted $1500US shipped when I talked to him on phone in late June, its worth it but I really cant justify that anytime soon... He hates to sell it,but will for the right price, hence why he's had it for quite some time....
