I see that the 'looker' gets a Sugi bar.

 

Good eye. The looker was my grandfather’s saw and my first Husqvarna. I don’t use it much anymore because I want to keep it nice. The other two are both experiments in parts interchangeability within the 200 series. They’ll get regular use.

 

Whatcha think, do the flowers make the saw any less fugly?

 

you need the saw to be by an assortment of flower colors to better match the saw

Old school roller nose bar. They were popular in the 50s - 60s. They’re still popular with the cant racing crowd. Less resistance than a modern sprocket nosed bar from what I’ve read. I just think they look good ​

Supposedly they spin a little more freely with less resistance. The chain that's on there came from you BTW. It was one of those you asked me to shorten but was 0.058" gauge so you told me to keep it. Now I have a use for it with this new "old stock" bar. All I had to do was shorten it to 59 drive links to fit my Husky 61.

 

Glad it will get used.

How did you find that bar? How old is NOS on it?

 

I found it on eBay. By sheer luck the person selling it lived one town over from me so instead of buying it and shipping it, I PM’d the seller and then met them in person. I don’t know exactly how old it is, but it’s a Partner brand and from what I understand, that name was discontinued sometime in the 80s when they were bought out by Electrolux (Husqvarna) So the bar is probably at least 40 years old, likely older.
