Honestly it's not as bad as it looks. The men who carried these around the woods long ago were Men. Zero AV, high weight, deafening racket. They did what they needed to do and probably didn't complain too much.

I'm finding this applies to much more than just timber getters. The Giants are almost gone now, who's shoulder will we stand on then?

I suppose we become the next generation of giants and that’s kinda disheartening.

Well I don't consider myself a giant as yall are saying, but I figure most folks on the forum are capable of carrying the mantal.

Agree, but far too small a percentage of general pop.

Posting for a slacker I know. He has trouble with reading and writing and doesn’t have the computer expertise to make an account here. Resized_20240503_141515.jpeg

The saw is either a Stihl wood boss or a farm boss. No way to tell.

Echo PPT 2620 taking down a hickory branch. This tree is going to be felled this summer, it’s probably full of borers.

Uh, doesn't it say "Farm boss" on the bar? Just an observation on my part. :D

My 290 had a farm boss sticker on the housing too. The MS250/251 was the wood boss at the time. Not sure of what is currently.

Missing is the 241 which is getting stuffed full of sausage, as well as the 55 and Red 272 that reside at my cabin.
