Went out to cut on a red oak. Everything was going good. I had already cut from one side and was making my cut from the other side of the tree and my 2nd cut was not lined up with my first cut. Round went rolling and took the saw with it. Luckily it threw the saw in the air after the first roll. The round probably weighed 200+ lb. It could have been way worse. 0617231136_Film2.jpg

Spent 15 minutes looking for the lever. 0617231136a_Film2.jpg

Realized I was missing something, had to look at a parts diagram to lookup what I was looking for.
I can't believe I found the return spring.

I got it all back together not sure if the spring is in there right but it works.

Stupid mistake but I didn't get hurt and the saw could have been wrecked. I made out pretty good all things considered. I have color blindness so finding anything in the weeds is just about hopeless. Not today!

Really catches you off guard when stuff like that happens. Glad the saw survived and the parts were found and put back together. The chain saws gods were looking out for you!

Last year my 201 had a log land on it when i didnt look where i was tossing it! $150 in parts to fix.:picard:
